I finally did Pandora. Coincidentally did it mid-day when the temperature was 46 degrees (114 F). I shrugged this inconvenient reality aside by saying, "ah, this will be a quick workout..."

4:03

Richard did it in 3:29; Scott may give it a shot later.

Tash videotaped me. Watching the video, I saw my splits were at least 10 seconds. How can it possibly take me 10 SECONDS to run 50 meters?!?! I became convinced that I had somehow mismeasured the distance. On the video, it suddenly looked longer than 50 meters. Tash and I figured out an easy way to measure it very precisely -- I ran it next to a straight, unbroken curb comprised of equal, molded cement segments. We measured it with a meter tape. Our measurement came to 51.24 - 51.66 meters.

That workout kicked the hell out of my lungs, and I was not -- normal when I finished. Spasmic coughing and probably some disorientation from the heat. Took about 45-60 minutes to recover.

Penny in 4:45.

Notes:

* Paced out 50m in the local park

* I was impressed by how difficult it was to do push-ups after a sprint. Most of the time was spent getting down to do push-ups after the 3rd, 4th and 5th rounds; felt it in my torso.

* If my push-ups get stronger, I think I can graduate to Pandora.
